Headfirst is a Hardrock / Grunge band from Durban.

"We like to be versatile & not just stick to a certain

style of music, we are always trying out new sounds

& constantly try to improve on our existing songs."

The band started off as a three piece band with a different

singer/bass guitarist, but it did'nt go too well. The original

singer left & Ettiene decided to try singing.

At this stage it was just Ettiene (singer/guitarist) & Willie

(drums) in the band, so they got hold of Jay (bass), as

Jay was an old friend of Ettiene.

The sound started to improve, but was missing something,

So we got hold of Stef (lead guitar) who used to play in

another band (Unstable Youth) with Willie several years

ago. After a few practices with Stef we were finally

happy and that's the way Headfirst started, now you know!
